Flexible entry pathways to education courses at Macquarie- You may have heard that due to BOSTES accreditation requirements, from 2016 the admission requirements for initial teacher education programs will state that students have a minimum of three HSC Band 5 (or E3) results, including English. The structure of the Macquarie University teacher education programs provides pathways for students who don’t meet the Band 5 entry requirements but obtain the requisite ATAR. These pathways meet BOSTES conditions for alternative entry into initial teacher education programs and will enable these students to complete their studies in the usual time period.

Tamworth Regional Council advises that the following construction activities will be occurring this week -Tribe St traffic calming works: Wednesday 3 June. Changed Traffic Conditions will be implemented for Linemarking and pavement symbol installation in Tribe St and Piper St between 9am and 2:30pm Wednesday 3 June. During the installation of the pavement symbols at the intersection of tribe St and Peel St, one lane of traffic will be temporarily closed between Peel St and Piper St, meaning only traffic incoming from Peel St/Manilla road will be allowed. A detour for all vehicles turning left from Piper St or travelling south on Tribe St to Peel St is to be implemented as per the attached detour plan. The detour is expected to be in place for up to an hour. Please tell all your friends who drive about this.
