This will go from 7pm - 8.30pm so people can go from here to the Vinnies Christmas in July for dessert and coffee. It is primarily aimed at current Year 12 and this includes all those thinking of deferring - it is in your best interests to apply to UAC this year. There will a UNE guest speaker and one from Centrelink. I strongly urge you to bring your parents or to ask them to come along if you cannot, so they understand and so do you what will be happening over the next 6 months and what is involved, deadlines, costs, application details etc. I look forward to seeing you there. For students in Year 11 or 10 who want to know what they can expect in Year 12, it will give you an understanding of the process of applying to university.

Inside the Forensic World: Inside the Forensic World is a one-day seminar, organised by the NSW Branch of the Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society. The seminar features forensic scientists, investigators and lawyers who will discuss their career paths, experiences and be available for specific questions from the audience. There will be displays featuring work performed by NSW forensic practitioners and career guidance information. This seminar is open to anyone who may wish to learn more about the real world of forensic science, policing and law. It is especially designed to help high school and university students learn more about these career areas and to make more informed choices. The lectures will be presented by prominent professionals in the field and will include interesting casework. Please note that some material may be graphic, hence the 16 years + age restriction must be strictly observed.
