Bedford Open Day and scholarships
Private Colleges: Posted 15-9-09 Deadline - No Deadline
Bedford sent this: Open Day (& Scholarship Assessments (optional)) on Saturday 19 September from 9.30am-3.30pm. Open Day is the time when students and their family and friends can view the College, talk to staff and students, discuss career opportunities and university pathways and get information about accommodation providers, payment options and VET FEE-HELP loans to students. You may also be interested to know that the scheme has proven to be extremely popular with approximately 90% of our students taking up the loan this year. Many 2009 Bedford Graduates have now taken the opportunity to articulate into university degrees in 2010 where their HELP loan can continue. And for those students for whom financial constraints may have restricted them from attending a private college, VET FEE-HELP has provided them with the opportunity to do so. UNIVERSITY PATHWAYSMay I also encourage you to check our website for updates on university pathways. These pathways offer Bedford Graduates the opportunity to enrol (with credit) in a university degree without the stress so often associated with the UAI. We are currently working hard to build upon our university partnerships with more and more universities agreeing to formal (automatic entry) agreements.

Williams Business College Scholarship & Courses
Private Colleges: Posted 10-9-09 Deadline - No Deadline
With 115 years experience delivering high quality vocational education programs to thousands of students, Williams Business College is a great option for students to consider. Students can complete an Advanced Diploma in just one year and this will incorporate Certificate III, IV and Diploma level courses. Williams is a premium College with small class sizes and quality trainers and the extra support some students need. Who thrives at Williams Business College? There are several groups: Those who really don’t know what they want to do, and need a ‘Year 13’ to mature, gain great skills and knowledge and then choose Uni or work and be completely ready for either. Those who don’t want to commit to four years of study at University as they are not sure that University is for them. They can do 12 months with us then decide – Approximately 40% to 45% of students go on to University. Those who are clear they do not want to go to University but do not have the business or administration skills they need to get a great job. In 12 months – they will have the skills they need and employment rates for students are exceptional. Those who aspire to be in leadership roles – but would live a great job in a prestigious law firm earning excellent money. Legal Secretarial graduates are sought after by 4 of the top law firms in Sydney. They compete for the students applications to join their graduate programs and complete their training. 100% of graduates were employed last year and the top students had 3 offers before they left.
Please find attached the Scholarship Application. You are welcome to apply if they are considering University as it’s a great idea to have ‘Plan B’ ready in case they don’t get the ATAR they planned. They have an intake for students after they receive their HSC results so any who are disappointed can start with us immediately
