Fewer students accepted into uni based on ATAR
Universities: Posted 29-3-18 Deadline - No Deadline
Only 2 out of 3 school leavers use their ATAR alone to get into uni. That's because universities "are turning to aptitude tests, interviews, portfolios, auditions, bridging courses, essays and bonus point schemes to determine whether a candidate is a good fit for a course."
ATAR can be just one part of the puzzle if you choose, so don't let it dictate all your decisions. You need to focus on it primarily plus doing well in certain subjects if you are looking at adjustment factors (bonus Points) and other aspects to get in and to get scholarships.
